Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the East Bladen Eagles (Elizabethtown, NC) and the visiting West Bladen Knights (Bladenboro, NC), observed East Bladen's volleyball team hold off West Bladen by a tally of 2-1.

The Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Union (Rose Hill, NC). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 0-5 record. In their last contest, Union was tipped by Spring Creek (Seven Springs, NC), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Knights meet the East Columbus Gators (Lake Waccamaw, NC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, August 22. West Bladen will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Gators enter the contest with a 1-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Lumberton (Lumberton, NC).
