Georgia High School Softball - Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy succumbs to Oglethorpe County

August 20, 2024: Lexington, GA 30648

In Tuesday's league test, the Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy (Winder, GA), by a tally of 14-4.

Next, the Patriots meet the Providence Christian Academy Storm (Lilburn, GA) in a 1A D-I Region 8 test, on Thursday, August 22. Oglethorpe County will attempt to advance on its 7-1 season record. The Storm go into the test with a 4-5 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Holy Innocents Episcopal (Atlanta, GA).

The (2-3) will now prepare for their test against Banks County (Homer, GA). The Leopards go into the 1A D-I Region 8 test with a 8-1 record. In their last test, Banks County prevailed over Commerce (Commerce, GA), 9-4, in a league test.
