Next, the Panthers clash with the Loganville Red Devils (Loganville, GA) in a 5A Region 8 test, on Thursday, August 22. Jackson County will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Red Devils go into the test with a 4-3 record after their 8-0 league win over Habersham Central (Mt. Airy, GA).

The Gladiators (4-5) will now prepare for their test against Central Gwinnett (Lawrenceville, GA). The Black Knights go into the non-league test with a 5-4 record. In their last test, Central Gwinnett was routed by Gainesville (Gainesville, GA), 20-10, in a non-league test.
