Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Pierce County improves its record to 9-1 on the season. The Bears travel to Cook (Adel, GA) to face the Hornets in a 2A Area 3 test on Thursday, August 22. The Hornets go into the test with a record of 2-2. Cook won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Mitchell County (Camilla, GA)

The Pirates now own a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Toombs County for a non-league test on Thursday, August 22. Appling County will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to St. Vincent's (Savannah, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-4.
