The Hornets (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Columbia (Columbia, MS). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Columbia was beaten by Forrest County Agricultural (Brooklyn, MS), 3-2, in a league contest.

Next, the Blue Devils meet the Hattiesburg Tigers (Hattiesburg, MS) in a Class 6A Region 3 contest, on Tuesday, August 27. Pearl River Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record.
