In Wednesday's non-league outing, the host Letcher County Central Cougars soccer squad scored a nice 8-0 victory over the Paintsville Tigers.

The Cougars (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Hazard (Hazard, KY). The Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs come into the District 53 test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Hazard was overwhelmed by Harlan County (Harlan, KY), 4-1, in a non-league test.

The Tigers now have a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Greenup County for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 26. Paintsville will clash with a Musketeers team coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Menifee County (Frenchburg, KY). The Musketeers record now stands at 1-3.
