The Avery County Vikings volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host West Wilkes Blackhawks to 1 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Vikings now have a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Wilkes Central for a non-league outing on Wednesday, August 27.

With the loss, West Wilkes drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Blackhawks travel to Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC) to face the Eagles in a non-league game on Tuesday, August 26.
