The Josey Eagles (Augusta, GA) softball nipped the visiting Butler Bulldogs (Augusta, GA), 1-0 in Wednesday's league bout.
The Eagles (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against Glenn Hills (Augusta, GA). The Spartans enter the 2A Region 4 game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Glenn Hills was nipped by Burke County (Waynesboro, GA), 18-0, in a league match.
In their next game, the Bulldogs play the Lakeside Panthers (Evans, GA) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 5. Butler will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record.
