The Cherokee Warriors overwhelmed the host Wheeler Wildcats softball squad by a count of 19-0 in Wednesday's league challenge.
Next, the Warriors meet the Parkview Panthers (Lilburn, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 23. Cherokee will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record.
With the loss, Wheeler drops to 0-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Walton (Marietta, GA) to meet the Raiders in a 6A Region 5 test on Thursday, August 21. The Raiders go into the test with a record of 5-3. Walton won 8-7 in their recent league test against North Paulding (Dallas, GA)
