Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the East Carter Raiders (Grayson, KY) and the visiting Lewis County Lions (Vanceburg, KY), observed East Carter's volleyball team top Lewis County by a count of 3-1.

The Raiders (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against West Carter (Olive Hill, KY). The Comets enter the District 62 battle with a 1-0 record.

The Lions now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nicholas County for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 21. Lewis County will encounter a Bluejackets squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Wolfe County (Campton, KY). The Bluejackets record now stands at 0-1.
