In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Jefferson Dragons softball team scored a tight 7-6 victory over the Jackson County Panthers.

The Dragons (5-2) will now prepare for their match against Cherokee Bluff (Flowery Branch, GA). The Bears go into the match with a 0-2 record.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Mill Creek Hawks (Hoschton, GA) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, September 4. Jackson County will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record.
