The Academy for Classical Education Gryphons triumphed over the visiting Crawford County Eagles softball squad by a count of 14-2 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Gryphons play the Northeast Raiders (Macon, GA) in a 1A D-I Region 2 challenge, on Thursday, August 22. Academy for Classical Education will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Raiders enter the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 25-0 non-league win over Westside (Macon, GA).

The Eagles (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA). The Knights enter the non-league challenge with a 1-10 record. In their last challenge, Upson-Lee overcame Luella (Luella, GA), 17-1, in a non-league challenge.
