The crowd at Wednesday's league bout between the Grovetown Warriors (Grovetown, GA) and the visiting Archer Tigers (Lawrenceville, GA), observed Grovetown's softball team get by Archer by a final score of 6-5.
The Warriors (8-1) will now prepare for their bout against Newton (Covington, GA). The Rams go into the 6A Region 4 bout with a 1-5 record. In their last bout, Newton tipped Rockdale County (Conyers, GA), 18-10, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Heritage Patriots (Conyers, GA) in a 6A Region 4 bout, on Thursday, August 22. Archer will attempt to better on its 8-2 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 13-0 non-league loss to North Cobb (Kennesaw, GA).
