Georgia High School Softball - Villa Rica can't get by Central

The Central Lions edged the visiting Villa Rica Wildcats softball squad by a count of 7-6 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Lions play the Jonesboro Cardinals (Jonesboro, GA) in a 4A Region 3 challenge, on Thursday, August 22. Central will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 15-0 league loss to Harris County (Hamilton, GA).
The Wildcats (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Kennesaw Mountain (Kennesaw, GA). The Mustangs enter the 5A Region 5 challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, Kennesaw Mountain edged Lithia Springs (Lithia Springs, GA), 7-0, in a league challenge.
