The Stephens County Indians triumphed over the host Madison County Red Raiders softball squad by a count of 7-0 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Indians meet the Hebron Christian Lions (Dacula, GA) in a 2A Region 8 challenge, on Tuesday, August 27. Stephens County will attempt to upgrade on its 11-0 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 12-1 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Apalachee (Winder, GA).

The Red Raiders (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Cedar Shoals (Athens, GA). The Jaguars enter the 4A Region 8 challenge with a 1-7 record. In their last challenge, Cedar Shoals was routed by Flowery Branch (Flowery Branch, GA), 16-0, in a league match.
