Marion County Eagles (Buena Vista, GA) backers left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Pataula Charter Academy Panthers (Edison, GA), 13-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Marion County upgrades its record to 3-8 on the year. The Eagles host Lamar County (Barnesville, GA) to play the Trojans in a non-league game on Saturday, August 24. The Trojans enter the game with a record of 5-5. Lamar County lost 6-1 in their recent non-league bout against Columbus (Columbus, GA)

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Terrell County Greenwave (Dawson, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 1 bout, on Thursday, August 22. Pataula Charter Academy will attempt to advance on its 4-2 season record. The Greenwave go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 26-10 league loss to Southwest Georgia STEM Charter (Shellman, GA).
