The West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC) volleyball were victorious over the host Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC), 3-1 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Blackhawks now possess a 6-0 record. They play next when they travel to Surry Central for a Foothills 2A bout on Tuesday, August 27. West Wilkes will clash with a Golden Eagles team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 5-1.

With the loss, Elkin drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Buckin' elks travel to Forbush (East Bend, NC) to clash with the Falcons in a non-league bout on Thursday, August 22. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 3-0. Forbush won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against North Forsyth (Winston-Salem, NC)
