Alta Hawks (Sandy, UT) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their soccer squad hold off the visiting Woods Cross Wildcats (Woods Cross, UT), 4-3 in a league outing.

The Hawks (3-3) will now prepare for their outing against Viewmont (Bountiful, UT). The Vikings enter the 5A Region 6 outing with a 1-5 record. In their last outing, Viewmont was edged by Davis (Kaysville, UT), 3-0, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Wildcats confront the Skyline Eagles (Salt Lake City, UT) in a 5A Region 6 outing, on Monday, August 25. Woods Cross will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 1-5 record after their 6-1 league loss to Brighton (Salt Lake City, UT).
