The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Havelock Rams (Havelock, NC) and the visiting West Craven Eagles (Vanceboro, NC), observed Havelock's volleyball team top West Craven by a count of 2-0.
The Rams (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Richlands (Richlands, NC). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Richlands notched a victory over White Oak (Jacksonville, NC), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles encounter the New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, August 26. West Craven will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Bears go into the battle with a 4-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to New Hanover (Wilmington, NC).
