The North Mecklenburg Vikings soccer squad scored 6 points and held the host South Rowan Raiders to 1 in the Vikings non-league victory on Thursday.
The Vikings now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Forestview for a non-league bout on Monday, August 25. North Mecklenburg will face a Jaguars team coming off a 3-3 non-league Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, South Rowan moves to 0-1 on the year. The Raiders travel to West Stanly (Oakboro, NC) to play the Colts in a non-league bout on Wednesday, August 27. The Colts go into the bout with a record of 1-2.
