Metter Tigers (Metter, GA) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball team gain a win over the host McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA), 15-5 in a league battle.

The Tigers now possess a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jenkins County for a 1A D-II Region 3 battle on Tuesday, August 26. Metter will confront a War Eagles team coming off a 14-3 league loss to Bryan County (Pembroke, GA). The War Eagles record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, McIntosh County Academy falls to 3-7 on the year. The Buccaneers host Montgomery County (Mt. Vernon, GA) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Monday, August 25. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 0-5. Montgomery County lost 15-3 in their recent league challenge against Treutlen (Soperton, GA)
