In Thursday's league match, the visiting Peachtree Ridge Lions softball team scored a tight 11-4 win over the Norcross Blue Devils.

The Lions (3-5) will now prepare for their match against Parkview (Lilburn, GA). The Panthers come into the 6A Region 7 match with a 3-6 record. In their last match, Parkview was routed by Starr's Mill (Fayetteville, GA), 9-4, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Blue Devils battle the Brookwood Broncos (Snellville, GA) in a 6A Region 7 match, on Monday, August 25. Norcross will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Broncos enter the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 15-0 league win over Duluth (Duluth, GA).
