In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Albany Lions volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Strawn Greyhounds.

The Lions (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Santo (Santo, TX). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, Santo was nudged by Bluff Dale (Bluff Dale, TX), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Greyhounds play the Aspermont Hornets (Aspermont, TX) in a non-league test, on Thursday, August 21. Strawn will attempt to advance on its 6-3 season record.
