Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Fabens Wildcats (Fabens, TX) and the visiting Austin Panthers (El Paso, TX), observed Fabens's volleyball team top Austin by a count of 2-0.
The Wildcats (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Del Valle (El Paso, TX). The Conquistadores enter the non-league contest with a 6-0 record. In their last battle, Del Valle achieved victory over Pebble Hills (El Paso, TX), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
The Panthers now own a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Socorro for a non-league battle on Friday, August 22. Austin will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Parkland (El Paso, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-4.
