In Thursday's league challenge, the host West Carter Comets volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the East Carter Raiders.
The Comets (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Lawrence County (Louisa, KY). The Bulldogs enter the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Lawrence County beat Tolsia (Fort Gay, WV), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Raiders face the Raceland Rams (Raceland, KY) in a non-league test, on Monday, August 25. East Carter will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Rams go into the test with a 2-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Fairview (Ashland, KY).
