In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting South Pike Eagles volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Jefferson County Tigers.
The Eagles (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Poplarville (Poplarville, MS). The Hornets enter the non-league challenge with a 2-3 record.
Next, the Tigers meet the Port Gibson Blue Waves (Port Gibson, MS) in a Class 3A Region 7 challenge, on Monday, August 25. Jefferson County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Blue Waves enter the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Crystal Springs (Crystal Springs, MS).
