The Lyford Bulldogs topped the host Port Isabel Tarpons volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Bulldogs now have a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to Rivera for a non-league outing on Thursday, August 21. Lyford will play a Raiders team coming off a 3-0 league win over Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 8-3.

With the loss, Port Isabel drops to 2-8 on the campaign. The Tarpons travel to Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX) to play the Falcons in a non-league outing on Thursday, August 21. The Falcons go into the game with a record of 1-5. Los Fresnos lost 3-1 in their recent non-league game against McAllen (McAllen, TX)
