In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Springer Red Devils volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Roy/Mosquero Blue/Lady Blue.
The Red Devils (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Elida (Elida, NM). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Elida nudged Floyd (Floyd, NM), 3-0, in a non-league test.
The Blue/Lady Blue now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Floyd for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 23. Roy/Mosquero will meet a Broncos team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Elida (Elida, NM). The Broncos record now stands at 0-1.
