Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Kell Longhorns (Marietta, GA) and the host Riverwood Raiders (Atlanta, GA), witnessed Kell's softball squad tip Riverwood by a count of 8-4.

The Longhorns now sport a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Chattahoochee for a 5A Region 6 match on Tuesday, August 23. Kell will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Denmark (Alpharetta, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, Riverwood moves to 4-7 on the season. The Raiders host Marist (Atlanta, GA) to meet the War Eagles in a 6A Region 4 match on Tuesday, August 23. The War Eagles go into the match with a record of 0-2. Marist lost 8-0 in their recent league match against North Atlanta (Atlanta, GA)
