The North Buncombe Black Hawks volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Mountain Heritage Cougars to 0 in the Black Hawks non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Black Hawks now have a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mitchell for a non-league game on Thursday, August 24. North Buncombe will meet a Mountaineers team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Erwin (Asheville, NC). The Mountaineers record now stands at 0-2.
The Cougars (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Pisgah (Canton, NC). The Bears enter the non-league game with a 5-1 record. In their last game, Pisgah gained a win over Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC), 2-0, in a non-league game.
