Metter Tigers (Metter, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bryan County Redskins (Pembroke, GA), 10-7 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Screven County for a 1A D-I Region 3 challenge on Thursday, August 24. Metter will battle a Gamecocks squad coming off a 18-2 non-league loss to Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA). The Gamecocks record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Bryan County falls to 6-3 on the campaign. The Redskins travel to Jenkins County (Millen, GA) to battle the War Eagles in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, August 23. The War Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 5-2. Jenkins County won 9-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Jefferson County (Louisville, GA)
