Newell Irrigators (Newell, SD) supporters left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers (Lead, SD), 3-0 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Irrigators battle the Edgemont Moguls (Edgemont, SD) in a non-league match, on Saturday, August 26. Newell will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record.

With the loss, Lead-Deadwood drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Golddiggers travel to Belle Fourche (Belle Fourche, SD) to battle the Broncs in a A Region 8 match on Thursday, August 24. The Broncs come into the match with a record of 1-0. Belle Fourche won 3-0 in their recent non-league match against Sturgis Brown (Sturgis, SD)
