Eagle River Wolves (Eagle River, AK) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their flag football team tip the host Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds (Anchorage, AK), 13-7 in a league battle.

With the win, Eagle River improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Wolves host Chugiak (Chugiak, AK) to play the Mustangs in a Cook Inlet battle on Saturday, August 24. The Mustangs go into the battle with a record of 0-2. Chugiak lost 27-12 in their recent non-league battle against Wasilla (Wasilla, AK)

The Thunderbirds now have a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to West Anchorage for a Cook Inlet battle on Friday, August 23. Bettye Davis East Anchorage will play a Eagles team coming off a 36-0 league win over Bartlett (Anchorage, AK). The Eagles record now stands at 2-0.
