The Appling County Pirates softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Ware County Gators to 0 in the Pirates non-league win on Thursday.
The Pirates now sport a 8-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Effingham County for a non-league battle on Monday, August 26. Appling County will encounter a Rebels team coming off a 6-1 non-league win over Coffee (Douglas, GA). The Rebels record now stands at 4-2.
With the loss, Ware County moves to 0-4 on the season. The Gators host Camden County (Kingsland, GA) to encounter the Wildcats in a non-league battle on Saturday, August 24. The Wildcats come into the battle with a record of 4-4. Camden County lost 5-2 in their recent non-league battle against Pierce County (Blackshear, GA)
