The Clinch County Panthers softball team scored 18 runs and held the host Brooks County Trojans to 10 in the Panthers league win on Thursday.

The Panthers now possess a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lanier County for a 1A D-II Region 2 battle on Tuesday, August 27. Clinch County will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 16-0 league win over Turner County (Ashburn, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-2.

With the loss, Brooks County moves to 0-7 on the season. The Trojans host Charlton County (Folkston, GA) to confront the Indians in a 1A D-II Region 2 battle on Tuesday, August 27. The Indians come into the battle with a record of 2-4. Charlton County won 13-7 in their recent league battle against Echols County (Statenville, GA)
