The Lanier County Bulldogs softball team scored 16 runs and held the visiting Turner County Titans to 0 in the Bulldogs league win on Thursday.

The Bulldogs now possess a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clinch County for a 1A D-II Region 2 battle on Tuesday, August 27. Lanier County will confront a Panthers team coming off a 18-10 league win over Brooks County (Quitman, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Turner County moves to 0-5 on the season. The Titans host Atkinson County (Pearson, GA) to confront the Rebels in a 1A D-II Region 2 battle on Tuesday, August 27. The Rebels come into the battle with a record of 3-3. Atkinson County lost 12-4 in their recent league battle against Irwin County (Ocilla, GA)
