River Ridge Knights (Woodstock, GA) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Woodstock Wolverines (Woodstock, GA), 9-1 in a league game.

With the triumph, River Ridge upgrades its record to 4-5 on the year. The Knights travel to Pope (Marietta, GA) to play the Greyhounds in a 5A Region 6 game on Thursday, August 29. The Greyhounds enter the game with a record of 7-3.

The Wolverines now own a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Riverwood for a 5A Region 6 game on Tuesday, August 27.
