The Cherokee Indians topped the visiting Phil Campbell Bobcats volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Thursday's non-league game.

Next up, the Indians confront the Shoals Christian Flame (Florence, AL) in a 1A Area 16 game, on Tuesday, August 27. Cherokee will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The Flame go into the game with a 1-1 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Winfield (Winfield, AL).

The Bobcats (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Tharptown (Russellville, AL). The Wildcats go into the non-league game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Tharptown was dropped by Red Bay (Red Bay, AL), 2-0, in a non-league game.
