The Cherryville Ironmen volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Shelby Golden Lions to 0 in the Ironmen league triumph on Thursday.

The Ironmen now possess a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to North Gaston for a non-league outing on Monday, August 26. Cherryville will play a Wildcats team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Shelby drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Golden lions host East Rutherford (Forest City, NC) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league outing on Thursday, August 22. The Cavaliers come into the outing with a record of 5-1. East Rutherford won 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Shelby (Shelby, NC)
