The George County Rebels volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Greene County Wildcats to 0 in the Rebels non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Rebels now have a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to St. Luke's Episcopal for a non-league outing on Friday, August 23. George County will play a Wildcats team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Baker (Mobile, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Greene County drops to 2-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Poplarville (Poplarville, MS) to play the Hornets in a Class 4A Region 8 outing on Tuesday, August 27. The Hornets come into the outing with a record of 7-5. Poplarville won 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Columbia (Columbia, MS)
