In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host John Marshall Monarchs volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Parkersburg South Patriots.
The Monarchs (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV). The Indians come into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Bridgeport lost by Marietta (Marietta, OH), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Patriots play the University Hawks (Morgantown, WV) in a Two Rivers challenge, on Tuesday, August 27. Parkersburg South will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
