In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Russell County Warriors volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Spencer Greenwave.

The Warriors (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Valley (Valley, AL). The Rams come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Valley beat Beulah (Valley, AL), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Greenwave meet the Heard County Braves (Franklin, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 27. Spencer will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Braves come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Cedartown (Cedartown, GA).
