The Washburn Pirates volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Tennessee School for the Deaf Vikings to 0 in the Pirates league triumph on Thursday.

The Pirates now have a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Heritage Home Scholars for a non-league outing on Saturday, August 24. Washburn will play a Lady Eagles/Warriors team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Hampton (Hampton, TN). The Lady Eagles/Warriors record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Tennessee School for the Deaf drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Eagleton College & Career Academy (Maryville, TN) to play the Royals in a A District 2 outing on Tuesday, August 27. The Royals come into the outing with a record of 2-3.
