Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Wakeland Wolverines (Frisco, TX) and the host V.R. Eaton Eagles (Fort Worth, TX), observed Wakeland's volleyball team top V.R. Eaton by a count of 2-0.

The Wolverines (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Rockwall (Rockwall, TX). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Rockwall was knocked off by Pearce (Richardson, TX), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Eagles battle the Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, August 23. V.R. Eaton will attempt to move on its 10-2 season record. The Bearcats enter the contest with a 9-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Coronado (El Paso, TX).
