The Sequoyah Chiefs football squad scored 61 points and limited the host Cherokee Warriors to 0 in the Chiefs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Chiefs now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Kell for a non-league test on Friday, August 29. Sequoyah will meet a Longhorns squad coming off a 37-0 non-league win over Alpharetta (Alpharetta, GA). The Longhorns record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Cherokee drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Pope (Marietta, GA) to face the Greyhounds in a non-league challenge on Friday, August 29. The Greyhounds go into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Pope lost 24-16 in their recent non-league challenge against Dunwoody (Dunwoody, GA)
