    • California High School Football - San Marcos nudged by Mount Miguel

    In Friday's non-league game, the Mount Miguel Matadors (Spring Valley, CA) football team edged the host San Marcos Knights (San Marcos, CA), by a tally of 28-27.

    In their next game, the Matadors battle the La Costa Canyon Mavericks (Carlsbad, CA) in a non-league game, on Friday, August 29. Mount Miguel will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Mavericks go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 43-14 non-league win over St. Augustine (San Diego, CA).

    The Knights now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Tesoro for a non-league contest on Friday, August 29. San Marcos will battle a Titans squad coming off a 24-14 non-league win over El Toro (Lake Forest, CA). The Titans record now stands at 1-0.
