The NCSSM: Durham Unicorns (Durham, NC) soccer got by the visiting Swansboro Pirates (Swansboro, NC), 3-2 in Friday's non-league battle.
The Unicorns (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Spring Creek (Seven Springs, NC). The Gators come into the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Spring Creek nipped North Duplin (Calypso, NC), 4-0, in a non-league match.
The Pirates now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Cabarrus for a non-league match on Saturday, August 23. Swansboro will meet a Wolverines team coming off a 6-2 non-league win over Mooresville (Mooresville, NC). The Wolverines record now stands at 4-1.
