The Hardin-Jefferson Hawks volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Buna Cougars to 1 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Friday.

The Hawks now possess a 8-3 record. They play next when they host Silsbee for a non-league match on Tuesday, August 26. Hardin-Jefferson will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Navasota (Navasota, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 9-2.

With the loss, Buna drops to 2-11 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to West Hardin (Saratoga, TX) to clash with the Oilers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 26.
