The Carnegie Vanguard Rhinos volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Freeman Golden Eagles to 0 in the Rhinos non-league triumph on Friday.

The Rhinos now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Austin for a 5A Region III District 21 outing on Tuesday, August 26. Carnegie Vanguard will play a Mustangs team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Houston Math Science & Tech (Houston, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Freeman drops to 3-12 on the campaign. The Golden eagles travel to Nimitz (Houston, TX) to play the Cougars in a non-league outing on Saturday, August 23. The Cougars come into the outing with a record of 3-9. Nimitz lost 2-1 in their recent non-league outing against Porter (Porter, TX)
