Fans at Friday's league contest between the West Central Area Knights (Barrett, MN) and the host Melrose Dutchmen (Melrose, MN), observed West Central Area's volleyball squad nudge Melrose by a score of 2-1.
With the win, West Central Area improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Knights travel to Kimball (Kimball, MN) to encounter the Cubs in a non-league test on Friday, August 22. The Cubs go into the test with a record of 0-0.
